Ca’Leia Nelson is a dedicated and driven college student currently pursuing a degree in Business with a minor in Journalism. Passionate about leadership, advocacy, and community impact, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence both in and outside of the classroom. Throughout high school, she held several leadership positions that helped shape her voice as an advocate for youth empowerment, mental health awareness, and community engagement.
Ca’Leia has received two official Proclamations recognizing her leadership in Youth Mental Health—one from the House of Representatives and another from the Gwinnett County Commissioner. These honors reflect her ongoing dedication to creating awareness and driving meaningful changes in the areas of youth mental health and wellness.
In addition to her advocacy work, Ca’Leia is the founder of a Youth MOVE Chapter and has established a 501(c)(3) organization focused on neurodivergent support and mental health awareness among youth. Her work centers on creating safe spaces, promoting understanding, and empowering young people to embrace their identities while accessing the support they need to thrive.
Ca’Leia has received numerous awards and recognition for her leadership and community contributions. She is a legacy member of the GNAC Jack and Jill of America, a member of Gwinnett NAACP, and an active participant in NAMI-related initiatives, further demonstrating her commitment to advocacy, service, and social impact.
Through her leadership, lived experience, and dedication to youth empowerment, Ca’Leia continues to inspire others to use their voices, advocate for change, and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
